Working in Charleston

We're not visitors here.

Charleston is a 3.5-hour drive and one of the most-photographed wedding markets in the country. Kiawah, Middleton Place, the Vendue, the William Aiken House, couples fly in from everywhere for it, and it earns the reputation. We travel there for destination weddings and occasionally for brand work that needs that coastal Lowcountry look you can't fake in the Upstate.

This is travel pricing, not local. Budget a $400 to $600 line item for travel and lodging depending on the date and package. If you're planning a Charleston wedding and you've already built a real budget for the day, that number is not the thing that breaks it.

Where we shoot

Charleston peninsula, Kiawah Island, Folly Beach, Middleton Place, Boone Hall Plantation, the French Quarter, Rainbow Row, the William Aiken House, and venues along the Ashley River corridor.

Most-asked

Do you charge travel for Charleston?

No. Charleston is inside our local-rate radius — same price as a Greenville session or wedding. We start adding a small travel line item past about 60 minutes from downtown Greenville (which Charleston is comfortably inside).

Booking

How far ahead do Charleston couples usually book?

Weddings: 6-12 months. Sessions: 2-4 weeks. Peak Upstate wedding season (April-June and September-November) fills first, so if you're targeting a busy month, sooner is better.
