Charleston destination wedding films. Peninsula ceremonies, plantation venues, Kiawah beach weddings. We travel for it when the project fits. The Lowcountry films like nowhere else.
Films in Charleston
Cinematic. Not staged.
Charleston wedding films are a different category of project. Plantation venues, peninsula ceremonies, Kiawah beach weddings. The Lowcountry light is genuinely different from Upstate light — softer, hazier, more cinematic by default. The historic venues add weight to the film that you cannot manufacture.
$400-$600 travel and lodging line item. We typically arrive Friday afternoon, shoot Saturday, drive back Sunday morning. Multi-day coverage (welcome events, rehearsal dinners, day-after brunches) is quoted separately. Charleston weddings often want Full Coverage because the venue variety and the destination guest dynamic gives the editor more to work with.

Most-asked
Charleston wedding film FAQ.
Can you film a Kiawah beach ceremony?
Yes, with the audio caveat that wind off the Atlantic is real and we plan for it heavily. Two lav mics, two shotgun mics, multiple windscreens, and an audio test 45 minutes before the ceremony to confirm we are catching clean voices. Beach ceremonies film beautifully on the visuals; the audio is the thing that takes work.
What about drone at Boone Hall or Middleton Place?
Boone Hall has restricted airspace for drones and the venue's own policy. Middleton Place has its own drone restrictions. Most peninsula and Kiawah/Folly Beach venues allow drone with prior notification. We confirm the policy with each specific venue before quoting drone-dependent packages, and we substitute equivalent ground-based wide shots when drone is not feasible.
How does pricing work for a Charleston wedding film?
Same Highlight Film ($2,000) or Full Coverage ($3,500) base prices plus a $400-$600 travel and lodging line item. Travel covers round-trip from Greenville, one to two nights of lodging (we book), meals on the road, and local Charleston transportation. Multi-day events (welcome dinner, rehearsal, brunch) are additional days at $1,000-$1,500 per additional shoot day. Quote spells out everything before you book.
