Working in Asheville

We're not visitors here.

Asheville is 90 minutes up I-26 and a different category of beautiful. The Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore grounds, downtown Asheville's mix of arts-district grit and mountain charm. When people plan elopements or destination-style weddings in Western NC, they usually want a photographer who understands light in the mountains, not one who drove up from Charlotte at 7am.

We travel to Asheville for the right project. Elopements on the Parkway, weddings in the River Arts District, brand sessions for the kind of small businesses that make Asheville what it is. Flat $150 day-rate for travel. No surprises.

Where we shoot

Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville, River Arts District, Biltmore Estate grounds, Black Mountain, Chimney Rock State Park, and the mountain venues along the I-26 and 74A corridors.

Most-asked

Do you charge travel for Asheville?

No. Asheville is inside our local-rate radius — same price as a Greenville session or wedding. We start adding a small travel line item past about 60 minutes from downtown Greenville (which Asheville is comfortably inside).

Booking

How far ahead do Asheville couples usually book?

Weddings: 6-12 months. Sessions: 2-4 weeks. Peak Upstate wedding season (April-June and September-November) fills first, so if you're targeting a busy month, sooner is better.
