Travelers Rest is 15 minutes north of the studio and a different visual world. The foothills start immediately, the Swamp Rabbit Trail gives you woodland B-roll, and Paris Mountain State Park is the closest thing to a mountain wedding venue you can get without leaving the Upstate. TR weddings film differently than Greenville weddings because the backdrop does so much of the work.
No travel fee on TR. Same packages, same documentary-cinematic approach. Elopements and small ceremonies are common up here, and Silver often suits these weddings better than Platinum because the day is shorter and the moments are more contained.

Travelers Rest wedding film FAQ.
Do you film elopements at Paris Mountain?
Yes. Paris Mountain elopements are one of the better elopement options in the Upstate because the park is close, scenic, and well-photographed. Ceremonies on park property require a permit (the couple handles it). I bring a streamlined kit for elopements (single camera, gimbal, two mics, no full lighting rig) because the day is short and the editing is tight.
Is the Swamp Rabbit Trail useable for wedding B-roll?
Yes, especially for engagement films and pre-ceremony portraits. The converted rail bed with mature trees gives you a unique look: green tunnel light in summer, warm leaf color in fall. Cinematic engagement films along the trail tend to feel cinematic without looking staged. We can also use it for couple portraits on the wedding day if the venue is nearby.
How does mountain weather affect the film?
It depends on the season and the venue. Spring and fall are the safest weather windows. Summer can bring fast-moving afternoon thunderstorms, especially up the Highway 276 corridor. Winter is usually clear but cold and the trees are bare. We always have a weather contingency plan for outdoor mountain weddings and adjust the shot list if the weather shifts.
