Travelers Rest wedding photographer.

TR sits where the Upstate starts climbing into the foothills. Weddings up here have a different look: more landscape, more mountain light, less of the polished downtown ballroom feel.

Why Travelers Rest

We know the venues.

Travelers Rest is 15 minutes north and somehow feels like a different state. The Swamp Rabbit Trail runs through downtown, the foothills start showing up immediately, and the meadows off Highway 276 give you wedding photo backdrops that look like they cost a flight to North Carolina to get.

We shoot a lot in TR. Small venues, private-property weddings, occasional elopements at Paris Mountain. Same documentary approach as Greenville, same package prices, no travel fee. The light up here is genuinely different and a lot of couples come to me specifically wanting to use it.

Where Travelers Rest couples get married

The small venues along Highway 276, private-property weddings in the foothills, Paris Mountain State Park, Furman Lake, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and the farm and meadow venues stretching toward Marietta and Caesars Head.

Packages

Three tiers, no hidden fees.

Most-asked

Travelers Rest wedding FAQ.

Are Travelers Rest weddings popular for elopements?

Yes, increasingly. The foothills give you the elopement aesthetic without the actual North Carolina drive. Paris Mountain State Park requires a permit for ceremonies but is one of the better-value backdrops in the region. Private-property weddings in TR are also common, especially for couples who want a more intimate guest list and a meadow ceremony.

Do you charge for travel to TR weddings?

No. TR is 15 minutes from the studio, local rate. Even the more remote properties up Highway 276 toward Marietta are inside our no-travel-fee radius unless we are getting close to Caesars Head, which I would flag on the quote.

What is the best time of year for a TR mountain wedding?

Fall (mid-October through early November) gets you the leaf color, which is what most couples picture. May is a close second for green light and blooming everything. July-August are doable but humid and the bugs are real. February-March are visually flatter but the light is consistent.
