How do you film a Glassy wedding with the elevation changes?
Glassy needs more equipment than a typical wedding because the ceremony, cocktail, and reception spaces are physically separated by elevation. We bring extra batteries, a gimbal for the steady walking shots, and we plan a tight transition window so the camera is rolling continuously between spaces. The mountain backdrop is worth all of it. Cinematic film at Glassy looks like a magazine ad when the light cooperates.
Can you do drone footage at Cliffs at Glassy?
Sometimes. Glassy has its own venue policies on drone, and weather + wind shifts can make mountain drone work tricky on any given day. I check the venue policy and the weather forecast about 48 hours out. If drone is in your package and we cannot fly safely, we substitute equivalent ground-based wide shots from the surrounding ridges.
Are Greer barn venues hard to film in?
Not hard, but they reward planning. Reception lighting is the variable — barns with string lights and uplighting film beautifully; barns relying only on overhead bulbs film flat. If the venue needs supplemental light for reception coverage, I bring it. Ceremony audio inside the barn is easier than ceremony audio outside, which is the trade-off.
