Anderson wedding photographer.

Anderson has Lake Hartwell, and that changes everything. Waterfront weddings, dock ceremonies, sunset portraits across the water. The light here is different and it photographs beautifully.

Why Anderson

We know the venues.

Anderson is 40 minutes southwest of the studio and one of the more visually interesting wedding markets in the Upstate, mostly because of Lake Hartwell. Waterfront ceremonies, dock-and-deck receptions, sunset photos with the water reflecting the sky. If you have lake access, that is already a better location than most booked venues.

Downtown Anderson has its own character: the historic courthouse square, the small-business corridor on Main. Couples who want a downtown ceremony with a lake reception (or vice versa) get a different feel than a single-venue wedding. We can shoot both, no problem.

Where Anderson couples get married

Lake Hartwell shoreline and dock venues, Lake Hartwell State Park, downtown Anderson, the historic courthouse square, the Anderson Civic Center area, and private lakefront homes across the Hartwell corridor.

Most-asked

Anderson wedding FAQ.

Are Lake Hartwell weddings hard to photograph?

Not hard, but they need planning. The light over water is gorgeous but changes fast around sunset. Wind can be a factor in late afternoon. Most lake weddings work best with a ceremony 90 minutes before sunset, giving us the best light for the ceremony, the portraits, and the early reception. I'll map the specific shoot timeline for your date and location.

Can you shoot both a downtown ceremony and a lake reception?

Yes. Anderson weddings sometimes split the day between the historic downtown and a lake venue, and we cover both with a Platinum package or with a custom add-on to Gold. The drive between most downtown Anderson spots and the lake is short enough that it does not eat the timeline. We plan the shot list to use the transition time for couple portraits.

What is the travel fee for an Anderson wedding?

Typically $75-$100 depending on the package and where in the county the venue is. Lake Hartwell properties near the SC side: $75. Further into Anderson County or out toward Hartwell town: $100. Flat fee on the quote, never tacked onto the invoice after.
