Hub City has its own character. Industrial bones, a downtown that has been rebuilding for years, and a wedding scene with more variety than people give it credit for.

Why Spartanburg

We know the venues.

Spartanburg is 40 minutes east and rewards photographers who actually know the city. Converse University grounds, Morgan Square for downtown weddings, the historic Drayton Mills area for couples who want industrial-edge photos, and the surrounding county for barn and farm weddings.

Small fuel line item on the invoice for Spartanburg, nothing dramatic. Same Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages, same documentary approach. Hub City weddings often have a slightly different aesthetic than Greenville: more grit, more character, fewer ballroom defaults.

Where Spartanburg couples get married

Converse University, Morgan Square, the Chapman Cultural Center, Barnet Park, the Drayton Mills district, Croft State Park, and the barn and farm venues across rural Spartanburg County.

Most-asked

Spartanburg wedding FAQ.

How much travel is added for a Spartanburg wedding?

A small fuel line item, typically $50-$75 depending on the package and how far into the county the venue is. Spartanburg city limits or close to I-85: $50. Further out into rural Spartanburg County or Croft area: $75. Flat fee, not mileage-billed, no surprise on the invoice.

Are the Drayton Mills venues good for weddings?

Yes, particularly for couples who want industrial-modern photos without going to Atlanta. Brick walls, big windows, vintage mill character. The light depends heavily on which space within the complex you book and the time of year. Indoor reception lighting is the variable to plan around. I'll do a walkthrough about a month before if it's a venue I have not shot recently.

Do you cover Converse University weddings?

Yes. Converse has beautiful grounds and indoor venues, and the campus has a different energy than commercial wedding venues. Logistics can be slightly more involved (parking, vendor access, day-of staff coordination), so I plan a venue call about a month out. No additional fee for that planning time.
